Clinical Trials in Pediatric Cancers and Blood Disorders

Tomorrow’s Treatments, Available Today

Our Clinical Trials Office gives children, teens, and young adults access to the newest and most promising cancer treatments—often years before they become widely available. The team takes care of every detail, from enrollment to scheduling and follow-up, so families can focus on what matters most: their child.

Clinical trials are research studies that test new ways to prevent, detect, and treat cancer and blood disorders. Many of today’s standard treatments—like chemotherapy combinations, supportive care medicines, immunotherapy, and even gene therapy—were first made possible through clinical trials.

At UF Health, we partner with national research groups and leading scientists to bring trials for both common and rare cancers to our patients. These studies explore everything from new drugs and immunotherapies to advanced approaches like targeted therapies, vaccines, and stem cell transplants.

By participating in a clinical trial, patients not only gain access to the most advanced care today—they also help pave the way for better treatments and brighter futures for children and young adults everywhere.
