Clinical Profile

I am a Clinical Associate Professor of Pediatrics and a licensed clinical psychologist with specialty training and expertise in pediatric neuropsychology and health psychology. My clinical and research interests have focused on neurodevelopmental factors and resilience in children with chronic health conditions and prenatal exposures in the context of family and broader environmental influences. Currently, I am working to implement evidence-based assessment and intervention approaches to improve the medical, psychosocial, and educational outcomes of pediatric patients with cancer, sickle cell disease and other chronic diseases. I am particularly interested in establishing programs that meet the developmental needs of school-age youth who are transitioning back to in person education after cancer treatment and AYA (adolescent and young adult) patients, as well as issues related to adolescent transition to adult care and long-term survivorship.
